1991 A to B

She was born February 26, 1902 at Wellman, Washington Co., Iowa to Mahlon E. and Anna E. (Hershberger) Yoder. Mahlon was born September 5 1876 and died April 1, 1958. Anna was born December 8, 1878 and died January 9, 1961.

On September 25, 1921 at Kalona she was married to Lloyd J. Brenneman, who was born January 27, 1896 and died April 12, 1961.

Surviving are children, Anna Pearl Miller (Verton S Miller); Goldie L. Gunden (Leon J Gunden); Edith M. Summers (Robert W Summers); and Lowell A. Brenneman, 16 grandchildren, and siblings, Martha F. Troyer (Ezra Troyer); Lydia L. Miller (Chester Miller); Albert L. Yoder (Ileen Mammer); Edith V. Yoder; and Gertrude M. Yoder.

A son, Virgil L. Brenneman (Luetta M Troyer); a daughter, Wava M. Stutzman (Wilford Stutzman); a brother, Ray A Yoder; a sister, Mary V. Shetler; a grandson, Joseph Stutzman; and a granddaughter, Julie Stutzman preceded her in death.

Cora was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Teaching young children in Sunday School was one of her favorite activities. She was a wonderful cook and homemaker throughout her married life. After her husband Lloyd died, she worked at the Kolona Cheese Factory for many years until illness prevented her from working. Her last few years were spent at the Mennonite Nursing home in Kalona

Memorial services were held May 12, 1991 at Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church, Kalona, Iowa with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
